PA: The Jews are behind the suffering of the nations

by David Wilder

The day will come when we will rule America
As Netanyahu and Obama prepare to meet tomorrow, it might be worthwhile to ensure that both of them are aware of the following statement, issued by an official employee of the Waqf - PA ministry of religion and was broadcast on official PA TV. You can fax/email to the Israeli PM office at: pm_eng@pmo.gov.il or 972-2-670-5475 and to the White House: president@whitehouse.gov or comments@whitehouse.gov or 202-456-2461 . While you're at it, why not let Hillary know too: Fax - 202-647-2283

May 13, 2005 Clip No. 669 Palestinian Friday Sermon by Sheik Ibrahim Mudeiris: Muslims Will Rule America and Britain, Jews Are a Virus Resembling AIDS

The following are excerpts from a Friday sermon on Palestinian Authority TV. The preacher is Sheik Ibrahim Mudeiris. PA TV aired this sermon on May 13, 2005

Ibrahim Mudeiris: Allah has tormented us with "the people most hostile to the believers" – the Jews. "Thou shalt find that the people most hostile to the believers to be the Jews and the polytheists." Allah warned His beloved Prophet Muhammad about the Jews, who had killed their prophets, forged their Torah, and sowed corruption throughout their history.

With the establishment of the state of Israel, the entire Islamic nation was lost, because Israel is a cancer spreading through the body of the Islamic nation, and because the Jews are a virus resembling AIDS, from which the entire world suffers.

You will find that the Jews were behind all the civil strife in this world. The Jews are behind the suffering of the nations.

Ask Britain what it did to the Jews in the early sixth century. What did they do to the Jews? They expelled them, tortured them, and prevented them from entering Britain for more than 300 years. All this was because of what the Jews did in Britain. Ask France what it did to the Jews. They tortured them, expelled them, and burned their Talmud, because of the civil strife the Jews wanted to spark in France, in the days of Louis XIX. Ask Portugal what it did to the Jews. Ask Czarists Russia, which welcomed the Jews, who plotted to kill the Czar - so he massacred them. But don't ask Germany what it did to the Jews. It was the Jews who provoked Nazism to wage war against the entire world, when the Jews, using the Zionist movement, got other countries to wage an economic war on Germany and to boycott German merchandise. They provoked Russia, Britain, France, and Italy. This enraged the Germans toward the Jews, leading to the events of those days, which the Jews commemorating today.

But they are committing worse deeds than those done to them in the Nazi war. Yes, perhaps some of them were killed and some burned, but they are inflating this in order to win over the of the media and gain the world's sympathy. The worst crimes in history were committed against the Jews, yet these crimes are no worse than what the Jews are doing in Palestine. What was done to the Jews was a crime, but isn't what the Jews are doing today in the land of Palestine not a crime?!

Look at modern history. Where has Great Britain gone? Where has Czarist Russia gone? Where has France gone - France, which almost ruled the entire world? Where is Nazi Germany, which massacred millions and ruled the world? Where did all these superpowers go? He who made them disappear will make America disappear too, God willing. He who made Russia disappear overnight is capable of making America disappear and fall, Allah willing.

We have ruled the world before, and by Allah, the day will come when we will rule the entire world again. The day will come when we will rule America. The day will come when we will rule Britain and the entire world – except for the Jews. The Jews will not enjoy a life of tranquility under our rule, because they are treacherous by nature, as they have been throughout history. The day will come when everything will be relieved of the Jews - even the stones and trees which were harmed by them. Listen to the Prophet Muhammad, who tells you about the evil end that awaits Jews. The stones and trees will want the Muslims to finish off every Jew.

Signs of the Times

Survey: Jews are Blamed for Economic Crisis

(IsraelNN.com) A survey conducted by the Boston Review in its May/June issue shows that nearly 25% of American non-Jews blame “the Jews” a moderate amount or more for the financial crisis.

Furthermore, a total of 38.4% of the non-Jews in the U.S. attribute at least some level of blame to the group.

Possibly most significant of all were the subconscious anti-Semitic tendencies revealed based on the way the questions were phrased to different groups.

Police arrest gunman suspected of targeting Jews in U.S. town

Police in Connecticut on Fiday took into custody the suspect in the slaying of a Jewish Wesleyan University student in a university bookstore.

A Meriden police spokesman says 29-year-old Stephen P. Morgan was arrested and turned over to authorities in Middletown, who are investigating Wednesday's fatal shooting of 21-year-old Johanna Justin-Jinich.

Authorities say Morgan threatened to kill other students and Jews.

PA Tries to Use Pope’s Visit for Control in Eastern Jerusalem

The Palestinian Authority attempted to seize control of the "Bridge for Peace” visit by Pope Benedict XVI by claiming authority over media coverage of his tour in Jerusalem. It arranged a meeting in the Ambassador Hotel in eastern Jerusalem for journalists covering the visit, but Public Security Minister Yitzchak Aharonovitch (Yisrael Beiteinu) promptly issued an order to close the hotel.

...PA officials maintained that the government order will not stop it from taking responsibility for welcoming the Pope and supervising media coverage in Jerusalem's Old City, arguing that arrangements for the tour are its responsibility.

“Eastern Jerusalem is our responsibility, and we are supposed to take care of all matters there, including the Pope’s visit,” officials told the Hebrew-language web site of the Yediot Acharonot newspaper.

Russia: Push Israel to Peace in UN Security Council

(IsraelNN.com) Russia, which chairs the UN Security Council this month, has asked the council to push Israel to make peace with the Palestinian Authority in a council meeting on Monday. Russia said the meeting should stress the “urgency of reaching comprehensive peace in the Middle East.”

Un Chief Ban Ki Moon, as well as US Ambassador to the UN Susan Rice, and foreign ministers from Austria, Turkey, Britain, and Russia will participate in the UN session on Monday. A preliminary draft statement said, “Vigorous diplomatic action is needed to attain the goal set by the international community.”

WSJ to Obama: Let Israel Attack Iran

(IsraelNN.com) U.S. President Barack Obama should let Israel take military action to stave off a nuclear Iran, according to Monday’s Wall Street Journal. Editorialist Norman Podhoretz warns that Iran is close to gaining nuclear weapons, and that Iranian leaders have been outspoken in their willingness to use them.

Podhoretz notes that Obama has all but ruled out an American military option in Iran, which leaves Israel as the only country capable of stopping Iran. He warns that if not, “a nuclear exchange would become, if not inevitable, terrifyingly likely, and G-d alone knows how far the destruction would then spread.”

And WOW!

Netanyahu-Mubarak Talks Aim to produce Arab-Israeli Front versus Iran

If successful, Binyamin Netanyahu's first meeting as Israeli prime minister with Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak at Sharm el Sheikh Monday, May 11, may well mark an epic turning-point in Middle East history recalling the 1979 peace breakthrough with Egypt. Their common goals – and Mubarak speaks for the Saudi king Abdullah on this issue – are the formation of an Arab-Israeli front against Iran and putting a spoke in US president Barack Obama's planned détente with Tehran.

...In strategic-historic terms, he believes that would be a more advantageous deal than succumbing to American arm-twisting. After all, Cairo and Riyadh are willing to stand up shoulder to shoulder with Israel against Iran – unlike the Obama administration.

THE GEULA TRAIN IS ON-TRACK~

Of course, we can't depend on the Arabs or the Egyptians, but anything that weans Israel off the American baby-bottle is good for the Jews.

Even Obama is good for the Jews! Finally, the true face of American foreign policy and diplomacy are out in the open and not hidden behind a mask of "friendship."

And yes, even the Poop's visit will turn out to be good for the Jews if he and the Arabs start a war over control of Jerusalem. Let them kill each other for it and then when they are dead we will finally live here in peace.

About Iran....I think we will attack Iran and the fall-out will be very painful for Israelis with retaliatory strikes and devastating for Jews in chu"l with an explosion of antisemitic violence which is seething just below the surface.

Time grows ever shorter. Don't give in to distractions. Focus on teshuva and tikun and preparing to greet Mashiach.

Netanyahu’s tough choices

by Eitan Haber

The legends of Israeli politics, which tend to become better with the passage of years, include the story of a meeting that took place a decade ago between US President Bill Clinton and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. As the legend goes, following the meeting Clinton turned to his advisors and asked: “Tell me, which one here is the president of the US?” And to those who failed to understand what he meant, he explained: “He spoke to me as if he was the president of the world’s greatest superpower.”

This legend was probably appreciated by those who are preoccupied with national pride. “This is how an Israeli prime minister should be talking,” they whispered to themselves with great pleasure.

Whether this story is true or merely a political myth, we should hope and believe that in the 10 years that have passed since then, Netanyahu learned plenty and has indeed changed, as he claims. When he arrives at the White House in May, President Obama will not be stunned. We should assume that everything would be prepared and clear to the president, his close aides, and the secretary of state by then.

One should not be jealous of Netanyahu. Obama will ask him, just like President Johnson asked late PM Levi Eshkol, what kind of State of Israel do you want? And should Netanyahu attempt to recycle diplomatic initiatives, Obama will show him the paper bin below his desk at the Oval Office. If Obama has a sense of humor (or alternately, a Jewish advisor,) he would say something in Yiddish about the “cold noodles,” and send the Israeli prime minister to prepare different answers for their next meeting.

Netanyahu apparently knows this. Therefore, there are leaks from his direction in recent days about “preparations,” and “new diplomatic plans,” as well as hints that “Netanyahu understands the issue of two states for two peoples.” I’m guessing that at this time Netanyahu is going through the process that Menachem Begin, Yitzhak Shamir (to a lesser extent,) Yitzhak Rabin, Shimon Peres, Ehud Barak, Ariel Sharon, Ehud Olmert, and Tzipi Livni went through before.

Will he make a history? Before he made it to the Prime Minister’s Office, Netanyahu had the privilege of talking without knowing too much. In the past two or three weeks he sat at his office, heard briefings, and was presented with amazing and difficult information regarding the State of Israel’s strategic, security, economic, and diplomatic position. Apparently, he discovered that speeches are one thing but reality is an entirely different thing. Dreams of generations and an ideology he innocently believed in, as well as thoughts he’s been having for years, are no longer commensurate with reality.

Yet when Netanyahu closes his eyes for a moment, he sees his father, Bentzion, who doesn’t believe in peace, and Lieberman, and his government and party colleagues, and the education he received at home, and the hundreds of thousands of people who believed in Jabotinsky’s doctrine for generations.

And now he needs to decide who he should fear more. Daniela Weiss and her friends or the Iranian bomb? His father who is waiting at home, or Obama who is waiting at the White House? The two-state solution, or the notion that the entire land belongs to us?

Netanyahu is into his second term as prime minister also (but not only) in order to make history with a historical deed. For him, the most important moment in his life as prime minister is approaching. This moment can be postponed to another visit or conversation, but it shall arrive.

In the hallway near his office, there are photos of all of Israel’s prime ministers, including Begin and Sharon, Rabin and Olmert, who changed their principled positioned completely. Now is Netanyahu’s time: Will history books be written about him, or will his name only be mentioned in the footnotes of those same books?

The Two-State Solution

Leonard Bloom
Special to the Jewish Times

For true peace in the Middle East, there must be two states living alongside each other in peace and security. It’s the only solution.

First, Israel must retreat to its pre-1967 borders, and its capital will be in Tel Aviv.

Second, a new state will be declared in the so-called “West Bank”. The new state will be called Judea, and its capital will be in Hebron. [Hebron, after all, was King David’s first capital; see I Kings, Chapter 2, verse 11.] And for strategic reasons, the Golan Heights would be incorporated into Judea.

These two states, Israel and Judea, will be under a federation called Jewish United States Territories in Common Era (or simply “JUSTICE”) and its capital will be in Jerusalem. [Like Maryland with its capital in Annapolis; Virginia with its capital in Richmond; and with the overall federation—- the U.S. A.—- having its capital there between in Washington, D.C.

JUSTICE will be responsible for common matters, such as military defense, foreign relations, monetary policy and immigration control.

Each of the two states in the JUSTICE federation, Israel and Judea, will be responsible for local matters, such as police and fire departments, education, health and social welfare programs.

In Israel, the predominant culture will be secular; and in Judea, the predominant culture will be according to Torah Judaism.

All of the citizens—- whether Jewish, Christian, Moslem or whatever—- will be requested to pledge allegiance to JUSTICE. Moreover, at age 18, they will be requested to devote two years to government service and, thereafter, one month per year until age 50. The government will determine the type of service rendered—- be it military, environmental, health, social services, infrastructure, etc.

Remember, both are requests, not mandatory requirements. If any citizen refuses either request (or both), that individual citizen may still reside in JUSTICE, own property, have businesses, and enjoy all civil rights and protections. However, they will no longer have a right to vote, nor hold any public office, nor have a government job. If they don’t pledge allegiance and agree to serve the government and its people, why should they have any input and/or control over the government?

Wait, have we forgotten something? Oh yes, the so-called “Palestinians” in the “West Bank”.

Why should they be refugees for 60 plus years? Why should three generations live in squander in refugee camps, relying upon handouts from a UN agency? Why shouldn’t they participate in a government and a culture that is much more familiar and comfortable for them, not alien?

There is something like 3 million Arab people in the “West Bank”, give or take, and there is something like 100 million in various Arab states. Those Arab states, on the surface, have been vociferous champions of the “Palestinians” for many years, so let them take in the “Palestinians” on a pro-rata basis (amounting to a roughly 3 percent population increase per Arab country). And if you extend it to all Moslem countries—- with a population of around 1.5 billion—- that amounts to a very minimal 0.2 % population increase per Moslem country. Like a drop in a bucket.

In leaving Judea, the “Palestinians” must be totally compensated for the fair market value of their land and property plus full reimbursement for relocation expenses; and all of the Jewish people in present-day Israel and throughout the Diaspora will be asked to raise sufficient funds to take care of relocating the “Palestinians” out of Judea.

Haven’t population transfers occurred throughout history? And a fair number relatively peacefully?

Compare that with the Jewish experience. In Israel’s defensive wars initiated by the Arabs, approximately 800,000 Jews were evicted (or fled in terror) from a variety of Moslem countries—all without compensation—and Israel took in those refugees and integrated them into their society. Why shouldn’t the Arabs and/or Moslems do that?

Now, upon floating this proposal, there will be a tremendous hue and a cry—an uproar from all of the Arab and/or Moslem countries, the E.U., Russia, China—- all over the world—- and likely from our own State Department.

They will all say it’s racist, ridiculous, absurd, barbaric. But isn’t it at least as logical as the position taken by the Palestinian Authority for Israel to absorb some three million Jew-hating Arabs into their country and after Israel is substantially truncated)?

Why shouldn’t Israel state this position to the PA: “You’re asking us to commit national suicide. Were asking you to agree to a different population transfer, one more conductive to your own people; and we will even pay for it completely. Isn’t that much more reasonable?”

Again, the objective should be two states of similar cultural and religious backgrounds going back around 3,000 years and united, yet independent—where one state is not obsessed with hatred and the feverish desire to kill the other and push them into the sea—but rather, a free people with an open border there between and all living in peace and security.

Truly, an ideal two-state solution.

Appeasement, Judenrat - 2009

All the world events down to the most seemingly mundane occurrences are none other than Hashem's way of talking to us. The more a person develops and strengthens emuna, the more he or she heightens spiritual awareness and is in tune with what's happening around us. Unfortunately, many people are in deep spiritual slumber and can't see past their next meal or the sports page of their local newspaper.

King Solomon, the wisest of all men, said that there's nothing new under the sun. In other words, what comes around goes around.

Holocaust Remembrance Day - is a day when we have to take a good hard look at the world around us and ask ourselves some very serious questions. A true search for truth means that we don't throw away the search results if we find them unpleasant - the slightest selectivity is no longer truth.

Obama Chavez

Question #1: Did appeasement end with Neville Chamberlain and the UK turning a blind eye to Hitler's seizure of Czechoslavakia in 1938? Certainly not. Take a tyrannical muchacho like Chavez from Venezuela, who's none other than a Spanish-speaking Achmedinejad. Comes along Obama, and gives Chavez his "hey-bro" handshake (photo, left). Otto Reich, who was ambassador to Venezuela under President Reagan, remarked that Chavez sees the handshake "as a green light to continue dismantling democracy in Venezuela." Appeasement, or what?

Obama's overtures to Iran and Achmedinejad is not only appeasement but a sign of utter weakness. The intrinsic message here is that Obama has no qualms in sacrificing friends and allies in order to implement his agenda. Luckily for us, Hashem runs the world.

The naive liberals in the US don't realize what's happening behind the scenes between Obama and Iran. If I'm not mistaken, Mr. Appeasement 2009 (Obama) is signalling to Iran that when the US leaves Iraq, it will turn a blind eye to Iran's seizing control of the Shiite region. Wait and see.

Obama plans to sell Iraq down the river, and guess who's next in line... That brings us to Holocaust Day question #2: Is there a Judenrat, 2009? Are there still Jews so opportunistic, so willing to cowtow to their overlords, that they sell the lives of their fellow Jews? Sadly, the answer here is yes, too.

Lashon hara Our sages teach us never to trust an individual with a vile tongue. In regards to Rahm Emanuel, the Washington Post says he is "Known for cursing about as freely as one breathes." These are your moral leaders, America? "Rahm" numerically in Hebrew is 240, the equivalent of "Amalek." People cite his background but he's bad news for the Jews. Like the representatives of the Judenrat, he will sell Jews like no antisemite could. Running his inane and arrogant mouth, he has declared, "In the next four years there is going to be a permanent status arrangement between Israel and the Palestinians on the basis of two states for two peoples, and it doesn't matter to us at all who is prime minister." Rahm Amalek thinks he's going to exile a quarter million Jews from Judea and Samaria, G-d forbid. What then, put them on cattle cars? Judenrat, 2009.

G-d willing, Israel will be strong and our current leaders - may Hashem protect them and give them strength - won't give in to Western tyranny. As a matter of self-preservation, Israel will have to oppose American designs to create another Hamistan in Judea and Samaria. A face off between Israel and the USA, between Bibi and Obama could have far-reaching consequences for American Jews, who over the years have forgotten that they are still in exile. Holocaust Rememberance Day is a reminder to learn from the past.

CNBC Bashed by GE/NBC Management For Not Being Pro-Obama

CNBC has been the only network owned by General Electric that is not totally in the bag for Barack Obama. Remember it was CNBC's Rick Santelli that lit the fire that resulted in the Tea Parties:

REPORTING THAT SHAMES THE PROFESSION OF JOURNALISM

By Barry Rubin

What have I been telling you? The Associated Press and other media institutions can always report—and do so frequently—on what the Palestinians want and what Israel “must” give them. But never ever ever on what Israel wants and what the Palestinians “must” give them to get a state and a lot more territory than they control now.

I think we know by know the Palestinian side but not the Israeli side. And so for example Diaa Hadid tells us in “Palestinians: Israel must back 2-state solution,” April 9, 2009.

We will never see a headline that says:

“Israelis: Palestinians must stop incitement to violence,” because we are never told about the incitement to violence.

“Israelis: Palestinians must tell people to accept Israel’s existence,” because we are never told that they are told the opposite.

“Israelis: Palestinians must forget about demand to return and resettle refugees in a Palestinian state,” well we are told about the Palestinian demand but not the Israeli response.

And the bottom line of all: “Israelis: Palestinians must back 2-state solution.” By solution, I mean a full and final end of the conflict, something that their leaders have refused to accept before.

The article then continues with what I would call a lie, though strenuous effort could be made to try to prove that it is merely extraordinarily mislading. But I’ll call it a disgusting lie. Here we go:

“In neighboring Jordan, senior officials from several Arab states reiterated their support for an Arab peace initiative offering recognition to Israel in exchange for an Israeli withdrawal from the territories it occupied in the 1967 Mideast War, including land the Palestinians want for a state.

“However, Israel's previous centrist government did not accept the initiative, and it is even less likely to win the support of the new right-wing coalition led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.”

First of all, the description of the Arab peace initiative—usually called the Saudi initiative—does not state accurately what was in it. A fair description would go like this:

Offering recognition to Israel in exchange for an Israeli withdrawal from the territories it gained control of which had been under Egyptian and Jordanian rule in the 1967 Mideast War, accepted a Palestinian state on all that land, and allowed any Palestinian who had any ancestor living on the territory of what is now Israel come live in Israel.

Doesn’t sound as appealing does it? And in fact that is why the second paragraph is a lie. The previous government—which should probably be called center-left—was positive about the initiative but objected to two provisions: a Palestinian state on all the territory and the return of possibly millions of Palestinian Arabs to live in Israel.

In short, first the AP doesn’t tell you about the provisions to which Israel objects, then it doesn’t tell you that Israel accepted in principle the provisions it told you about.

This is consciously deceptive, a deliberate attempt to make anti-Israeli propaganda and encourage readers to be hostile to Israel by not informing them of clear facts.

The article then tries to show that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is the bad guy—no criticism can ever be made of at least the non-Hamas Palestinian leaders:

“Netanyahu hasn't expressed support for the idea of Palestinian statehood, instead offering the Palestinians `economic peace' and his foreign minister has dismissed peace efforts by the previous U.S. administration. A year of U.S.-backed Israeli-Palestinian negotiations did not produce tangible results, and it is unlikely talks on the terms of Palestinian statehood will resume under Netanyahu.”

In this paragraph, there is an attempt to give the impression that Netanyahu has opposed a two-state solution, though he has not done so. In fact, he accepted a two-state solution in principle when he became prime minister the last time, in 1997—that’s 12 years ago.

And it’s a lie to say his foreign minister has dismissed peace efforts by the previous U.S. administration. All he did was say he accepted one plan but not a second one.

We are not told that the Palestinian side has in practice dismissed peace efforts by the previous U.S. administration because it didn’t fulfill its side of the bargain. Netanyahu has spoken of this but AP censors it out.

And it’s an even bigger lie to say that it is “unlikely” talks will resume under Netanyahu since he has been trying hard to get talks restarted and will probably succeed.

But note how talks are defined. Not talks about full peace or both sides reaching an agreement but merely over “the terms of Palestinian statehood.” The Palestinians get what they want, that is supposedly all set. What does Israel want? Who cares?

That’s what makes this paragraph so amusing:

“The Palestinians have set their own conditions for resuming negotiations.”

Yes, we know what the Palestinian conditions are but it is worded as if we know what Israeli conditions are—things like an end to incitement to violence and that the Palestinians live up to earlier commitments. That is what Netanyahu has said but it isn’t what we are going to hear from AP.

I am thoroughly disgusted by such coverage. On one hand, it is absurdly biased and demonstrably so. On the other hand, AP editors will insist that such stories embody the highest quality of journalism. I wouldn’t mind so much if they stonewalled and then tried to do better. But I know they won’t. They have forgotten, if they ever knew, what proper journalism is supposed to be like.

Politics: The Obama Mess

by Reb Akiva at Mystical Paths

This is a political treatise, a bit of a departure from our standard Jewish religious fare.

In the book Blink, Malcolm Gladwell describes the "Warren Harding Mistake". In essence, because President Warren Harding seemed so presidential, he was given a pass on issues and investigation as a presidential candidate. He was easily elected on the basis of his appearance, voice and intonation. In other words, he looked like a president and spoke like a president, a handsome and classy one at that. Because of these unconscious factors, people didn't actually delve into _what_ he said. He looked, sounded and acted presidential, his opponent did not. He won, and won by a massive landslide.

Harding is considered, by scholars of such things, to have been the worst president in US history. His leadership skills were weak, his policies empty.

Barak Obama came on the scene at a time that the majority of the American people were disgruntled with the current president. While he pushed strong policies - many of them overly partisan and not thoroughly thought out or reactions to a violently changing world - Bush was consistently derided as stupid. He was ridiculed as such by the press for 8 years straight.

Enter Obama, the intellectual. He spoke eloquently and promised a new path. The electorate was not pleased with the current path and had been dealing with a president that was ineloquent at best. He looked presidential, tall and confident. He was also young and vibrant, with a president who was tired and an opponent who was old. His opponent did not look very presidential in comparison, and was not particularly eloquent either.

Obama won, not quite by a landslide but by a significant margin.

Few seriously examined his expressed policies, and those who did found them vapid and wanting. As the rumblings of the financial crisis arose, his pre-election policy was essentially "we'll fix that". His major drive was "we'll change things". Conservative pundits noticed that the policy depth was not much more than 3 words long, but the general press was taken in by the same 'he's the most presidential and therefore most trustworthy' UNCONSCIOUS factors that 88 years earlier.

Hence he was elected without a serious examination of his policies and politics, a junior senator EARLY in his first term who had previously been a local politician. If such a selection occurred during a quiet prosperous period for the United States, perhaps the impact would have been unpleasant and annoying. As instead it's happening during a period of the United States at war on multiple fronts, world political realignment, and the greatest financial crisis since the Great Depression, the lack of experience, empty policies, weak leadership and strong partisan positions may very well cause the United States massive damage - perhaps even to the point of permanently losing it's world leadership position.

Actually, there is little doubt that that will be one of the early impacts. As Caroline Glick described so well in her article "Surviving in a Post American World", the Obama administration has implemented a direct policy of alienating national friends & allies, and encouraging national enemies. While they may be hoping by doing so to create a new relationship with those enemies, so far such steps have emboldened those enemies and weakened allies. One can naturally assume that all US allies are currently evaluating steps to take to reduce or eliminate reliance on the US in favor of new multi-point global relationships.

Such a relationship change is not recoverable. While a few short years ago there was a discussion of how the US could solidify it's position as a world power, the new "Rome" so to speak, nowadays the question is whether the US will continue to be taken seriously as a power at all. While Rome's hegemony lasted over 500 years, the United State's lasted 64.

The latest news, and a real surpriser at that, is of the Department of Homeland Security releasing an emergency reporting alerting police forces nationwide of the threat of domestic terrorism from "Right Wing Radicals", including such dangerous groups as Veterans returning from Iraq, Pro-2nd Amendment Gun Groups, .... Note what's not included, Islamic terrorism foreign or domestic, threats from radical states such as North Korea, groups such as Al Queda or the Taliban. By the way, if you actually read the report you'll find it's 100% fear mongering, and even says repeatedly "there is no threat today, but there could be, so crack down early".

For our Jewish readers (we assume the majority as it's a Jewish blog), the government article notes, "Anti-Semitic extremists attribute these losses to a deliberate
conspiracy conducted by a cabal of Jewish “financial elites." These “accusatory” tactics are employed to draw new recruits into right wing extremist groups and further radicalize those already subscribing to extremist beliefs." So my dear Jewish friends, YOU are the cause of white supremacist growth in the US!

"Many right wing extremists are antagonistic toward the new presidential administration and its perceived stance on a range of issues, including immigration and citizenship, the expansion of social programs to minorities, and restrictions on firearms ownership and use." FYI dear Homeland Security, many CITIZENS are concerned about these issues. That used to be called free speech and political voice, now it's called "reaching out to a wider audience of potential sympathizers".

Net net, we have a new US presidential administration alienating and weakening national allies, cozying up to national enemies - so far completely rebuffed by said enemies, completely fumbling the financial crisis and probably destroying Wall Street and the US financial engine in the process, trying to start a class war against the rich - who suddenly include anyone making above an average income, and coming out against those disagree as possible extremists to be watched and guarded against.

While the Bush administration made many mistakes, primarily in overreaching both in political programs and the war, the Obama administration seems to be headed for top of the worst president in US history list even before they've finished their first year. And Malcolm Gladwell may have to retitle the "Warren Harding Mistake" as the "Barak Obama Mistake".

And may G-d help us all from the world chaos this administration's actions are invoking.

Part of what spawned the idea for this treatise was some emails I received about Tea Parties - tax and government protests - scheduled for New Jersey. My advice for the organizers is: make sure you have some constitutional lawyers on your team and lined up in advance. DO NOT be shocked at unusually strong government response. The new administration clearly is going to take steps to prevent this from building.

FOUND !! Barack Obama's Severe Consequences For North Korea

Prior to yesterday's launch of a ballistic missile by North Korea, President Obama threatened severe consequences if the rogue country went ahead with their launch plans.

So far those severe consequences have been non-existent. But the president promised consequences, would this be another promise that Obama breaks? I had to find out. So I figured this may be another job for my Cousin Ben the spy (his mother wanted him to go to med school, but that is a story for a different day).

I asked Ben to sneak into the White House and find out what "consequences the president had in mind. To get unrestricted access to the White House, Ben disguised himself as canvasser for ACORN, and it was there he was able to meet and question the president's number one adviser (TOTUS).

I just just got off the phone with Cousin Ben the spy and he came back with the information (he also came back with a pair of Michelle Obama's underwear-- but I promise to talk to him about that). Below is the list of severe consequences for North Korea, which Cousin Ben brought back from 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

President Obama's Severe Consequences for North Korea
  • A nasty letter from Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. To make the punishment even more severe the letter will be placed in their permanent record.
  • The entire country of North Korea will be forced to go to bed without dinner. Wait most of them already do.
  • Fire Kim Jong-il. The president gets that power from the same place in the Constitution that allows him to fire the head of GM.
  • No Nintendo for a week.
  • Force North Korea to take Tarp funds that it doesn't need, and don't allow them to return it. That way he can control them anyway he wants, just like the banks.
  • Send Nancy Pelosi to visit North Korea for a month. If that doesn't scare them straight, nothing will.
  • Take away their Congressional Earmarks. Apparently John Murtha thinks that North Korea is part of his district.
Ben's conact, Mr TOTUS did not say wheter these "consequenses" will be imposed all at once or wheter it will be some sort of "ramp up." Either way it in nice to see the President finally show a back bone in dealing with rogue countries. Iran must be quaking in its boots (with laughter).

Charles Freeman blaming of the “Israel lobby” for his downfall

Ambassador Freeman, thank you for that statement you proved what I have been saying all along. You do not exhibit the proper judgment to be NIC chair. Despite what you or your pugilist-oriented son say this has nothing to do with Israel. It is easy for you to use stereotypes, blame the Jews etc. If it was all about Israel, it would have died down a week ago, look at Samantha Power, she urged the US to send troops to impose a solution on Israel, she is still around.

But the fact is the reason you pulled out is you did not want to answer the charges. You ran an organization that published wild things, you were on an avisory board of a company that skirted the US embargo on Iran, you supported horrible human rights violations by China and hell JIM BAKER THOUGHT YOU WERE TOO PRO-SAUDI, thats like the Pope saying someone is too Catholic.

So Go Ahead, blame the Israel lobby....but the facts are the facts, you did not have the experience or the judgment to do the Job. YidwithLid

Three contractors are bidding to fix a broken fence at the White House. One is from Chicago, another is from Tennessee, and the third is from Minnesota. All three go with a White House official to examine the fence.

The Minnesota contractor takes out a tape measure and does some measuring, then works some figures with a pencil."Well," he says, "I figure the job will run about $900 -- $400 for materials, $400 for my crew and $100 profit for me."

The Tennessee contractor also does some measuring and figuring, then says,"I can do this job for $700: $300 for materials, $300 for my crew and $100 profit for me."

The Chicago contractor doesn't measure or figure, but leans over to the White House official and whispers, "$2,700."

The official, incredulous, says, "You didn't even measure like the other guys! How did you come up with such a high figure?"The Chicago contractor whispers back, "$1,000 for me, $1,000 for you, and we hire the guy from Tennessee to fix the fence."

"Done!" replies the government official.
And that, my friends, is how the new stimulus plan will work.

The first four weeks

I remember hearing something about "hitting the ground running" in light of all the dire warnings amid unprecedented, monumental problems facing the United States. It appears that this has been forgotten in the dazzling light of presidential celebrity and pomp.

Barack Obama may have found that he is more interested in being ruler than in actually ruling.

WHAT'S THE RUSH? 'URGENT' $TIMULUS ON HOLD FOR BAM'S WEEKEND OFF
After pushing Congress for weeks to hurry up and pass the massive $787 billion stimulus bill, President Obama promptly took off for a three-day holiday getaway.

Obama arrived at his home in Chicago on Friday, and treated wife Michelle to a Valentine's Day dinner downtown last night. The couple was spotted leaving upscale Table Fifty-Two, which specializes in Southern cuisine, with the first lady toting what appeared to be a doggie bag.

The president plans to spend the Presidents' Day weekend in the Windy City, and is not expected to sign the bill until Tuesday, when he travels to Denver to discuss his economic plan.
Both the House and Senate passed the bill Friday night.

The push to get the bill through before the holiday weekend was so frantic, members of Congress didn't have a chance to read all 1,071 pages of the document before they could vote.

Air Force One is one 'spiffy ride,' Obama says

(CNN) -- During the first couple of weeks of his presidency, Barack Obama has made good use of his "spiffy" new ride.

The president, who has made several trips around the country in Air Force One, was particularly excited during his first trip on the plane as commander in chief when he flew recently to the House Democrats' annual retreat in Williamsburg, Virginia.

...As president, Obama's first ride on the helicopter Marine One to Andrews Air Force Base, where Air Force One is kept, also seemed to leave him impressed.

"It's spectacular," Obama said. "You go right over the Washington Monument, and then you kind of curve in by the Capitol. It was spectacular."

From 2 weeks ago: 'Restless' Obama and family head to Camp David

It took Barack Obama two years to get to the White House, but barely more than two weeks for wanderlust to set in.

"He's a bit of a restless soul," Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said Friday when asked if Obama was feeling "cooped up in the White House."

Saturday, Obama and his family are due to head for Camp David for their first overnight stay at the presidential retreat in Maryland's Catoctin Mountains.

Rabbi Lazer Brody: Winners and Losers

Hashem (God) is magnificently compassionate and infinitely merciful, but He wants us to get our act together. His messages are loud and clear - the skies are still iron-blue with no sign of rain, as the worst drought in our history continues. Traditionally, after a Shmitta (Sabbatical) year, we get bumper crops and double rainfall. This year, we have neither. This season's citrus yield is sparse and the fruit quality is way below par. Our sages teach that a lack of rain and sparse yields stem from a lack of emuna.

Friday night at about 8 PM, we heard an explosion to the east. After Shabbat, we discovered that a Grad missile fell in a field about a half mile east of Ashdod. The Red-alert siren was not activated. During Shabbat, more missiles fell in Sderot and surroundings as well.

Gilead Shalit is not yet home and Gaza weapons smuggling is proceeding full speed. Yet, the Israeli government claims they have won the war. Such is the self-deception of a non-emuna outlook.

This won't be popular, but my friends on the right of Israel's political map are also falling prey to the self-deception of a non-emuna outlook. True, Israel's left was smashed during the elections, but that doesn't mean that the right won, despite their euphoria. Here's how:

Ms. Livni, together with her scandal-ridden cronies that make up the Kadima Party, succeeded in garnering more mandates that Bibi and the Likud (28 to 27).

Mr. Lieberman and his Israel Beteinu party have an anti-Jewish agenda that would be readily digestible by the most extreme elements of Israel's left. Our estimation is that Lieberman would rather sit with Livni than with Bibi. Lieberman would easily give in to territorial concessions if he received civil marriages, instant conversions, and additional erosions of the religious status quo that his constituency wants. To make things stickier, there are now signals from the Obama administration calling for a Likud - Kadima coalition. Remember, Bibi had already agreed to surrender Hevron and huge chunks of Judea and Samaria back at the Wye plantation. He has a poor record of standing up to Uncle Sam; for that, you need emuna. So, from our estimation, it looks like Israel will get an anti-religious Centrist government with a ruling majority of 70 mandates (from a total of 120), that includes Kadima, Likud, and Lieberman. Even if Labor joined such a government instead of Lieberman, there would still be 68 mandates and even more readiness to make concessions. Time will tell.

Aguda has no reason to rejoice about their 5 mandates; demographically, they should have received 8. They lost one mandate to Shas, one mandate to Katzal'e and the Ichud Leumi, and one mandate to the Likud. Such is the result of infighting and narrow self-interests.

Bibi's war against Moshe Feiglin cost him at least 8 mandates, but showed us all his true colors.

True, the Knesset has been blessed with an individual of such personal integrity as Katzal'e. But, he and the religious right are not enough to guarantee the future of Jewish settlement in the Land of Israel, territorial integrity, or the very Jewish character of the state. Our votes didn't do the trick. Our votes didn't rescind the drought or assure national security either.

What our votes didn't succeed in doing, our prayers can. So why don't people pray? Rebbe Nachman says that they don't pray because they lack emuna and don't believe in the power of prayer.

If you want to effect a change in Israel, then join us in an hour a day of personal prayer. Devote ten minutes to praying for our security, for the residents of Judea and Samaria, for the release of Gilead Shalit, and for rain.

The difference between winners and losers is prayer. When you pray, you always win in the long run. Have a good week.

Israeli Election Analysis

All Israeli election estimates turned topsy-turvy, and naturally everyone wants to know WHAT HAPPENED? Here's the explanation...

The Israeli left-wing voter wants socialism, government services, strong movement towards a peace process, wants to get out of the Shomron (West Bank), women's rights, equal rights, environmental protection, and reductions in religious rights.

NONE of the left wing parties has delivered on ANY of these goals. The small left wing parties were just too narrowly focused and therefore unrealistic (having no real sizable constituency for their narrow issue), and Meretz and Labor were abandoned for their failures (especially consider they've been in power of the past years). These voters headed to the party nearest in their space...Kadima.

Kadima additionally made one smart move close to the election, they began emphasizing Tzipi Livni's gender - a FEMALE candidate. That clearly drew some female voters.

On the right wing, the voters want lower taxes, less government interference in business and daily life, strong moves towards security (realistic peace process ok, peace of death not ok), portions want a strong hold on the Shomron (West Bank), and maintenance of the status quo of religious rights.

The surprise here was not Yisrael Beytanu (Lieberman), but Likud. Netanyahu put significant effort into appealing towards the centrist and even left wing voter by contradicting right wing principles in his campaign positions. No settlement expansion and probably partial withdrawal with long term security, there went 2 seats to the settler-zionist-national-religious parties. Peace process will be continued, with security, and no strong position on security (there went 2 seats to Lieberman). Basically, as Likud shifted center a portion of it's traditional base jumped ship and moved to Lieberman as the strong security guy.

Kadima got it's votes almost accidentally, due to incompetence of it's left wing opponents. Likud, however, lost seats to Lieberman directly due to the positions it took, abandoning some of it's base. This was a major political error that may have actually been INTENTIONAL. Bibi may not have wanted an overly large Likud, as it would have included people he'd rather not have there (aka Feiglin and crew). If Kadima didn't make the unexpected gains, this might have put him in a good position to lead a national unity government with Kadima and Labor, and avoid small party negotiations. I suspect he was surprised by the result.

Of course, men plan, G-d laughs.

A Comprehensive Solution to National Security

"We're on a collision course with Syria, a high probability of a confrontation," said Amos Gilad, head of the Israel Defense Ministry's Diplomatic-Security Bureau, earlier today.

Gilad has an accurate assessment of the current situation, but his conclusions lack any semblance of spiritual awareness. He claims that Israel "would have no choice but try to reach an agreement with Syria in the near future" - that's naive, defeatist, and it means surrendering the Golan to Syria as if he learned nothing from the lessons of Gaza. Accurately though, he notes that failing to achieve such a peace would create a far more dangerous front for Israel, which in two years would include a nuclear Iran, Syria's rocket array and a well-equipped Hizbullah. The question is peace with whom? Gilad made the comments during a panel debate of former IDF major generals.

True, we face a dangerous hostile axis of Iran-Syria-Hizbullah. But, it's not the Golan that must be surrendered - it's our material lusts and appetites that prevent us from making teshuva that we should surrender. Nor is it peace we need with Syria - we need peace with Hashem. As in this week's Torah portion, once we make peace with Hashem, He solves the problem of our hostile neighbors. The comprehensive solution to our national security is that simple.

With elections only a week away, there's not a single party that has put the word "emuna" in their platform. Who to vote for? I've not yet found anyone that's selflessly and uncompromisingly loyal to Hashem, His Torah, the Land of Israel, and the Jewish people. If there's a politician and a party that can fill that bill, let them stand up and identify themselves. Don't forget to bring your voting record; past performance speaks louder than empty and meaningless future promises.

Can't even wait 2 weeks!

Word was that the new US envoy for peace in the Middle East was not likely to pay us a visit until after the elections scheduled for Feb 10th. Apparently, they can't wait that long...

Diplomats: US Mideast envoy expected next week

...Referring to Mitchell's appointment as special Mideast envoy, US President Barack Obama said "We have no time to lose."
