More 'Flu News

by Tomer Devorah

About a week ago, we posted a warning---"Beware Big Brother trying to scare you into taking an unproven vaccine! " The whole situation surrounding this 'flu pandemic is bizarre.

At first, the Minister of Health said Israel would order vaccine, so it would be available if needed, but that we would not take delivery on anything until next year (2010). Next thing we hear the Prime Minister is vowing vaccine for every citizen and then the delivery date gets moved up to October.

I'd like to know who is orchestrating this and why. I mean is Big Pharma going bankrupt and need a massive infusion of cash from around the world, buying up a totally useless, but potentially deadly and experimental vaccine?? (I suppose you've heard that each person is going to need three injections!)

They tried for several years running to scare the world with a "Bird 'Flu" that never quite took off (forgive the pun) in the human population. Then they jumped to label this "Swine 'Flu" a killer when it had barely begun spreading in Mexico. Was it planted in the populace, quickly losing it's lab manufactured potency or were the reported numbers of dead artificially concocted and released to the media?

Take this for example:

62-year-old woman dies after being diagnosed with swine flu
Published: 08.18.09, 10:47 / Israel News

A 62-year-old woman died at the Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem on Tuesday, after being diagnosed with swine flu.

The woman also suffered from other diseases. According to the Health Ministry, although it is uncertain that the H1N1 virus was the cause of death, this cannot be ruled out. (Meital Yasur-Beit Or)

Now, look at this:

Swine flu death toll rises following 10th victim

...The 67-year-old patient was hospitalized a week ago in serious condition at the intensive care unit in the Rabin Medical Center in Petah Tikva and had apparently suffered from a severe illness.

The 76-year-old man suffered from a heart condition and was also admitted in serious condition to the intensive care unit at the Hasharon Hospital. Health Ministry officials claim that in these cases too swine flu could not be determined as cause of death but could not be ruled out either.

And yet if you only read the headlines, or do not read the article critically, the impression you would get is that these are swine flu deaths for a fact.

JPost reports: "...the ministry's policy is to attribute the deaths of those infected with H1N1 to the virus even when the cause of death is uncertain."

We have to ask why they so badly need to frighten the public with this manufactured 'flu pandemic.

Case in point. Just after reading that 'Nearly 1/4 of Israelis would refuse H1N1 vaccine', I ran across this Prognosis: 14,000 to die of swine flu .

I can't tell you what to do, but I will urge my family and friends to pay heed to the as-yet unproven, but highly likely connection between adequate levels of Vitamin D and immunity to the flu---Epidemic Influenza And Vitamin D.

Be a smart and informed consumer of medical care. Get plenty of sunshine and be well!!

Israeli Doctor: 'More Die from Routine Flu Than H1N1 Virus'

(IsraelNN.com) Although the swine flu has become a global pandemic, infecting hundreds of thousands of people worldwide, an Israeli doctor says it’s time put it in perspective.

Dr. Yuval Rabinovich, medical director of the Leumit health clinic in Arad, told Israel National News Monday that the swine flu is relatively mild, as influenza viruses go. “More people die each year in Israel from routine influenza than have died from the H1N1 virus,” he said.

In fact, literally hundreds die in Israel each year from “regular” flu, Dr. Rabinovich said, but it is rarely reported. The Ministry of Health statistics on flu-related deaths are only available in tandem with deaths from pneumonia, a complication of the virus.

Dr. Rabinovich estimates that at least 20,000 people have been infected with the H1N1 virus since the first outbreak was detected in April. Although the Health Ministry has reported 2,000 cases of diagnosed H1N1 virus, he said, there really are at least ten times as many people out there who are infected, if not more.

“We’ve stopped testing for it,” he noted, “except in hospital situations. Any flu in Israel is swine flu at present. We don’t change the treatment.”

Dr. Rabinovich, who teaches History of Medicine at Ben Gurion University’s medical school, treats a variety of populations in Leumit’s clinics in southern Israel, including the Bedouin city of Rahat and the town of Kuseifa.

Another area of concern is the rapidity with which it has spread and the risk of mutation. “The flu mutates all the time,” Dr. Rabinovich pointed out. “A new vaccine is produced every year to contend with it.” The main concern with swine flu, he said, is the fact that it affects primarily young people. “Those older than 40 probably ran into it a few decades ago,” he noted. “In this sense, it reminds us of the 1918 Spanish flu.”

Dr. Rabinovich hastened to add that the swine flu was not similar in any other way to the 1918 strain of influenza, which killed approximately 50 million people worldwide. “I believe it ended World War I,” he says. “Certainly more American soldiers died of the flu in the winter of 1918 than were killed in fighting the war.”

At present, only five people have died of swine flu in Israel, and of those, only two were actually healthy, without any pre-existing chronic illnesses to complicate the medical picture.

Sixteen people are currently listed in critical condition and hospitalized in the Intensive Care Units in medical centers around the country.

“Every flu is a serious disease,” Rabinovich said. “But the swine flu is pretty mild.”

According to Dun and Bradstreet, economic damage. totaling billions of shekels to the Jewish State. could be much higher than the nation’s death toll. The financial rating agency estimated Monday that the spread of swine flu by year’s end could lead to a 4-5% drop in GDP, amounting to 28-35 billion shekels ($7-8.75 billion). The direct damage this coming winter alone is estimated to be some 3 million shekels ($750,000). The entertainment, tourist and restaurant industry is expected to be hardest hit.

However, D&B also estimated there will be those who benefit as well – takeout companies, for example, and video rental agencies, as well as pharmaceutical firms that produce vaccines against the virus.

Not a road to G-d

mashiachiscoming.blogspot.com
As more New York schools are closed in an effort to contain swine flu, it would behoove us to heed the words from a comment posted on theyeshivaworld website.
"Hashem’s messages are coming fast and furious, yet we sit here frozen in our goldena medina –with our golus mentality."

Below is a video about swine flu from aish.com.

The Swine Flu remedy from your grocery store

Star Anise is the dried, star-shaped fruit of a small Asian evergreen. Unrelated to each other, Star Anise has an even stronger licorice flavor than Anise Seed and is used in many baking recipes. It is also a key ingredient in Chinese savory cooking, and is one of the 5 ingredients in the renowned "Chinese 5-Spice" blend. It is also well known for giving the distinctive flavor to liqueurs such as Galliano and Sambuca.

This spice just also happens to be the key raw ingredient for Tamiflu, one of the main anti-virals used to treat swine flu.

Star anise is available in packages in Asian supermarkets. When purchasing star anise, look for whole pieces that aren’t broken. At home, store star anise in a sealed container in a cool dark place. Properly stored, star anise will last for several months. Discard once the flavor fades.

In slow cooked or simmered dishes, star anise is usually added whole (not broken into pieces) and discarded before serving. Occasionally, you may find stir-fry recipes calling for ground star anise.

Swine Flu Update - Cutting Through The Fluff

Mystical Paths

Wall Street Journal - "Don Weiss, director of surveillance in New York City's bureau of communicable disease, said authorities do not have the resources to test everyone. The only place in the world where testing is being done is at the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta. The CDC is working to expand capacity for testing around the country, Mr. Weiss added.

"There are probably 10,000 people with the flu in New York," he said. "We just don't have the capacity to test that. People with the flu should stay home and call their doctor."

World News Reports state as of today there are 1,000 confirmed cases of the Mexican Swine-Type Flu worldwide. However, community news reports state confirmed cases all over. Similarly, World News Reports state "symptoms not unlike regular flu", but more direct reports state much scarier symptoms such as extremely high fever, loss of use of limbs, and hospital level care to recover for healthy adults.

The good news is there are few reports of deaths from any sources. So far, with doctor's care and hospitalization when necessary, patients are recovering.

That being the case, Mystical Path's advice is: time to upgrade your precautions, but downgrade your worry. On the spiritual side, time to focus davening on your and your family's safety, but be aware when the 'demons' of destruction are loosed they are empowered to ignore regular merit.

(Israel National News) Chief Rabbi Shlomo Amar asked Jews on Monday to set aside a day of prayer and fasting for this coming Thursday for the welfare of the world in light of the H1N1 flu outbreak. He also called on people to repent and increase their study of Torah.

Rabbi Amar cited a Talmudic precedent that in the time of Rabbi Yehuda around 1,500 years ago, when he learned that the pigs had a disease, he immediately declared a day of fasting because he said that pigs have a similar digestive system to humans. In another Talmudic precedent, when Rabbi Shmuel heard of a disease in a far off place he also declared a fast, since the disease can pass from place to place.

Swine Flu in the Gemara

Gemara Taanis 21b (elucidation in brackets):

They once said to Rav Yehudah: There is a deadly plague among the pigs. He decreed a fast [even though Jews would not be directly affected by the destruction of pigs].
Shall we say that Rav Yehudah holds that a plague which is visited on one species [of animal] is [apt to be] visited on all species? [Thus, kosher livestock were threatened by the plague that struck pigs.

No. Pigs are different in that their digestive tracts resemble those of humans. [Therefore, a plague that strikes pigs bodes ill for the people of that place, which is why Rav Yehudah decreed a fast. Note: Pigs, like humans, have no rumen, unlike other livestock (Rashi). Thus, people are more susceptible to epidemics that affect pigs than to those affecting other livestock.]

Worldwide Mexican Swine Flu Case Map

Swine flu??? what's behind it?

by TrueSimcha

Well, I haven't heard any commentaries on the subject, but as a simple Jew, all I can say is, "wow"!

Thin about it, the most tumaa'dik, impure animal, the one the notzrim lust after is actually bringing their downfall! (some of them, not all, yet). It's another huge sign from Hashem. First Hashem made the money fall, people's greatest lust, and now the second or third greatest lust in the world (food - particularly non-kosher) is bringing its worshippers down. Amazing!

But, all things aside, this does sound pretty scary. I am not so sure that this is the big warning the autistics warned us about, I think we need to see what develops in the next week. It may still just be another warning from Hashem like the others before it and the Big One may yet have to come. Please, my beloved American brothers, keep your eyes open. I will pray for you that Hashem will send you wisdom to know what to do.

Preventive measures for Swine Fever
